- When you visit a nomadic family in the countryside, please take some sweets for the children otherwise they become very happy because there is almost no shop in the countryside to buy sweets.
- When you visit a family with a young baby, there is a custom to put some little money on the cradle of the baby and wish the baby become a good man.

- Ulaanbaatar city is crowded so there are pickpockets in the city so please be careful with your bags, money and other things. It is better not to have your passport, money or cell phone in your pockets.
- It is almost not possible to find your losing things so please be careful every time. Tour guides warn these kinds of things all the time.
- If you lose your passport, you need to inform quickly about it to the police station to take a report also inform the embassy of your country by the assistance of the company to take a new one again. New passport comes in 24 hours but if you do not have a report of the police, you will have problems during the flight.

- There is a hospital for only tourists in Ulaanbaatar and opens at 8:00 a.m. If urgent, you can call an ambulance to get the hospital. At first you can get analysis of urine and X-ray (40-60) dollars.
- In the center of sum, you get service from the hospital. Professional doctors are in ger camps. If you injure during the journey, the doctor will take measures with your tour guides. If it is serious, you need to contact with the company. Tour guide or drivers have the first aid kit.

- There is a saying “4 seasons in a day in Mongolia” by Mongolians. In the morning and evening it is cool the same as spring, in the afternoon it is hot the same as summer but at night cold the same as winter. If it is +20 degrees in the daytime, it changes into +8 degrees at night tells that the daytime weather reduces by 10 degrees. So you need 4 seasons’ clothes such as warm clothes for morning and evening, summer clothes for the daytime.
- The hottest season in Mongolia is July. The weather is dry because of the less rain. You always need to have water. Do not forget lip gloss, torch, batteries, umbrella and sunglasses.
- If you choose horse riding trip, do not forget your boots and gloves.

- You can buy maps and guidebooks from the post office or department stores such as “Nomin”, “Internom”. Travel map is 4-5 dollars and road network map of Mongolia is 6-8 dollars. In some ger camps, you can also buy maps or natural paintings.
- You can order maps with your own desired size in the map company.
- Guidebooks are usually printed in English and rare in German, Japanese, French and Chinese. You can buy guidebooks (8-30 dollars) in English, German and Japanese from some museums.
